Karukurichi N. Shashikiran
Shashikiran's
talents were discovered when he was a
toddler and nurtured by his father and guru
'Chitravina' Narasimhan. At two, he stormed
the music world as a child prodigy who could
identify Ragas, demonstrate complicated
Talas and answer other technical questions
pertaining to Carnatic music. He later had
the privilege of learning from stalwarts
like Sangita Kalanidhis T Brinda & T
Vishwanathan and Calcutta K S Krishnamurthy.
'Chitravina' P. Ganesh
Ganesh mesmerized the world of Carnatic
music at the tender of age of
two-and-a-half, when he was able to identify
and render around 225 Ragas and 175 Talas
and answer numerous other technical
questions with ease. He was trained by his
maternal uncle, 'Chitravina' Narasimhan and
cousin Ravikiran as a vocalist. He also had
the privilege of learning from Sangita
Kalanidhi T Brinda for a few years. |
