More the efforts taken in a movie, more the success we get. After having surpassed from blooming directors, Vikraman and Cheran were a category, working with Manirathnam and Shankar, was an exceptional experience. I wish to work with Bharathiraja and Balachander also.

I have now given 3 songs in Bharathiraja's 'Kangalaal Kaidusai'. Balachander is now making a movie with Vidhyasagar as music director. I have given 2 songs for this movie also.

I have worked with directors of yester years, and of recent times also. This has given me a wide range of experience.

Manirathnam did not direct 'Dum Dum Dum' but he did select the songs in the movie. In that way, I had an opportunity to work with him.

I just received a call from Manirathnam saying that Director Shankar would like to see me. Later, I was asked to give the Lyrics for the 1st song. Rahman's tune was simply marvelous.
