Endrendrum Music Review

Endrendrum, originally aimed for a TV release, has found itself heading to the big screens. The film stars Sathish, who was seen in Unnale Unnale, and Priyanka Reddy among others. Directed by Srinish Sridharan, Endrendrum is billed as a Dharan musical. Endrendrum is a thriller movie produced, written, and directed by Sinish. The film stars Sathish Krishnan and Priyanka Reddy in the lead roles, and the rest of the important roles are done by Theepetti Ganesan, Meera Krishnan, Nisha Goshal and Bala. The camera is handled by Saravanan, the editing is done by T. S. Suresh, the music is composed by Dharan Kumar, the stunts are handled by Dilip Subbarayan, and the dances are choreographed by Sridhar. The audio was launched in a grand manner by director Gautham Vasudev Menon and producer Gnanavel Raja and it was received by producers P. L. Thenappan and S. Lakshman Kumar of Prince Pictures.

Thoda Thoda(Haricharan, Ranina Reddy)

The soft piano notes are willing to play second fiddle to the fine vocal melody. The singing pair of Haricharan and Ranina Reddy sound exquisite as the track gradually builds up ever so gently. But something about the tune gives it a feeling of emptiness.

Endrendrum(Nikhil Mathew)

Dharan is in his elements here crafting out a hummable tune and delivering it with excellent production and just that bit of youthful spunk that he displays every now and then. The piano notes in the background make for the perfet skeleton around which the rest of the song is fleshed out. This R & B flavored tune required a young voice and attitude and Nikhil Mathew fits the bill perfectly.

Kanneere(Dharan Kumar)

Dharan seems to be making a sure footed approach as a singer by sounding more confident with each recording. The singer Dharan attempts a more serious emotion with his processed vocals on this song. The rhythm pattern surely springs a surprise with its difference with the electronic percussions that are pieced together smartly.

Kanne Kanne(Ranina Reddy)

While the treatment of this tune might be similar to some of the earlier ones on this album there is definitely a hint of carnatic influence atleast in terms of melody early on. But that too takes a western turn during the second half of the song which has its onus rest upon Ranina Reddy entirely and she pulls through excellently.
