Irumbu Kuthirai Songs Review

Irumbu Kuthirai is said to be an action packed movie directed by Yuvraj Bose starring Atharvaa, Priya Anand and Raai Lakshmi and the movie is banked by AGS Entertainment. G.V.Prakash Kumar takes charge of the music department.

Penne Penne(Bhavatharini Ilaiyaraja, G V Prakash Kumar, Yaazhini,Lyrics: Thamarai)

A lovely tune, simplistic orchestration, GV Prakash’s pleasing vocals and Bhavatharini’s infectuous humming make this our pick of the album. Yazhini’s humming interlude in the second charanam deserves applause!

Angae Ippo Enna Seigiraai( M M Manasi, Mugdha Hasabnis, Vijay Prakash,Lyrics: Thamarai)

A song that targets the hep crowd with a lot of mixing gimmicks, most possibly a dream sequence with some funky beats and a lot of “Oh Oh Ohs”. Might take some time to lure in.

Pondicherry( AR Raihanah, Priya Hemesh,Lyrics: Thamarai)

A soft kuththu number, something GV Prakash has been successful at in his past albums, with lovely vocals from Priya Hemesh and a majorly accessible tune. AR Raihanah looks like a bad choice here. The flute interlude warrants a mention

Alaipaayum(Andrea Jeremiah, Vijay Prakash,Lyrics: Thamarai)

A rhythmic tune high on energy and tempo, but pathetically low on novelty. The song is poorly crafted even with two promising singers Vijay Prakash and Andrea Jeremiah doing the honors. A middling effort from the composer

Hello Brother(Chinna Ponnu, Ranjith, Suchitra,Lyrics: Pa Vijay)

Taking inspiration from Ilaiyaraja’s Unnai Azhaithathu song’s prelude beats, GVP has cooked a tasteless concoction here with an array of singers including himself. Another stale composition!
