Who
said Yuvan Shankar Raja is not in his best form this
year? Ask them to listen to songs from ‘Paiya’. The
music composer, who had joined hands with Lingusamy
after ‘Sandakozhi’, has come out with five beautiful
songs that would attract you as soon as you listen
to them.Yuvan, through his music, sets the
perfect mood for this ‘racy entertainer’ starring
Karthi and Tamannah. A close look at the album would
tell you more:
Adada Mazhaida – Rahul Nambiar,
Saindhavi
If ‘Dhavani Potta Deepavali…’ is for ‘Sanda Kozhi’,
it is ‘Adada Mazhaida…’ for ‘Paiya’. The peppy song
by Rahul Nambiar and Saindhavi with folk inputs from
Yuvan energises a lot.
En Kadhal Solla - Yuvan
Orchestration is Yuvan’s forte. He proves it once
again in ‘En Kadhal Solla…’ The younger son of
Ilayaraja touches the soul straight away with the
number, both in the form of composition and vocals.
The humming in the background is addictive.
Poongatre Poongatre – Benny Dayal
‘Poongatre Poongatre..’ is too catchy that it
gives a mesmerising feeling even a long time after
you listened to it. Benny Dayal’s vocals add more
value to the song.
Suthudhe Suthudhe - Karthik,
Sunitha Sarathy
The pick of the alubum is ‘Suthudhe Suthudue…’
Though the number starts in an ordinary note, it
gains momentum soon and enthralls as it progresses.
The ‘ra-ra-ra-radhe’ bit is awesome.
Thuli Thuli – Haricharan, Tanvi
The music in the beginning and the ’sel sel
avaludan sel’ part are the two highlights of this
song. Yuvan’s tune and Na Muthukumar's lyrics
perfectly blend with each other.
Paiya – Big boss |
