(Manmadhan Ambu - Audio Review)

Devi Sri Prasad is flying high for his musical score in 'Manmadhan Ambu' is doing brisk business. What more, he is thrilled at working with a legend like Kamal Haasan. The album has catchy songs quite typical of DSP while a couple of numbers are in the form of a poem rendered by Kamal himself.

Interestingly, the album has lyrics by the 'Ulaga Nayagan' himself and the likes of Andrea Jeremiah, Trisha have crooned. The songs are sure catchy with good use of percussion and wind instruments. The energetic and peppy numbers, cool melodies make it a entreprising album.

A sneak peek for Lakshmansruthi.com readers:

Dhagadu Dhattham – Kamal Hasan

A catchy song indeed. It is penned by Kamal and sung by him as well. DSP has made a fusion of folk and Western beasts. It is sure to top the charts. The composer has ensured the music doesn't dominate the lyrics in this song.

Who’s the hero – Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea is a bundle of energy. She has proved her worth singing such songs in the past. More a peppy jazz number, Devi Sri Prasad has used saxophone, bass drums and trumpets to give jazz effect at its best. Pacy number, the song is sure to top the charts.

Neela Vanam – Kamal Hasan, Priya Hemesh

Kamal Haasan is at again. With good use of violins, the song sticks to our hearts listening at the first time itself. Devi has infused the classical elements in the song accompanied by tabla

Oyyale – Mukesh, Suchitra

Its more a soft kuthu number. Sung by Mukesh and Suchitra, the song is pleasant to listen to. DSP who has untill now made name for peppy songs wins the hearts of melody-lovers too.

Kamal Kavidhai – Kamal Hasan, Trisha

Its more like Kanmani Anbodu from Guna, as Kamal and Trisha narrate the prayer of a woman who is in search for her perfect partner. Noted for the effective and sensual lyrics, the song is pleasant to listen to.
