K. Bhaskaran Started his musical journey at two and a half years, as
he absorbed all the music and lessons going on in his family home,
in Mylapore, Chennai which is traditionally a place where great
vidwans have lived. He started playing the flute when he was 10
years, practically on his own, and later came under the guidance of
veteran vocalist and flute guru Mayavaram Papa Ammal. He considers
all his achievements in music as an outcome of his blessings from
his gurus.
