Rajini releases Eeram audio
Superstar Rajinikanth on Sunday released the music album of Eeram, a film produced by director Shankar's S Films and directed by debutant Arivazhagan, a former associate of Shankar.

Speaking on the occasion, the top actor of Tamil cinema said that hard work, if coupled with smartness and efficiency, would surely result in success. Citing Shankar, he said, "a smart attitude towards work is the road to success. Shankar is an example to this."

On the reason behind attending the function, he said, "after committing Endhiran, directed by Shankar, I hardly attended any public function. But when my close friend (Shankar) invited me to this event, I had no other option than accepting his invitation. He is a great man and a good friend of mine. Working with him is a nice experience."

Heaping laurels on Sasikumar (of Subramaniapuram and Nadodigal fame, who received the first copy of Eeram audio CD), the Superstar said, "He is the one who is showing his love towards cinema film after film. Sharing the dais with him is no doubt a delight."

In his address, Shankar said, "Rajini sir is a great human being. He is very helpful and co-operative. He never carries his image with him. He is so simple, down to earth and friendly. I am honoured to have him at the audio release of my production venture." Appreciating Sasikumar, he said, "he has achieved success in three trades of cinema- as a producer, director and actor."

Thanking Rajini and Shankar for the 'kind words', Sasikumar said in his address that it was Shankar who started the trend of quality low-budget movies by producing Kadhal and Kalloori.

Others spoke on the occasion include Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan, Tamil Film Distributor Association president Kalaipuli G Sekaran, lyricist Viveka, filmmaker Vasantha Balan and cinematographer-director K V Anand. Eeram features Adhi, Nandha and Sindhu Menon in the lead roles with music by Thaman.
