Kamal, Rahman launch VTV audio

Oscar award winner A R Rahman was in Chennai on Tuesday to release the audio of his first post-Oscar movie 'Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya'. Directed by Goutham Menon, the movie has seven tracks set to tunes by the Mozart of Madras.

A group of singers including Karthik, Sreenivas, Benny Dayal, Chinmayi and Alphonse sang the numbers live on stage. Three songs were also screened on the occasion.

Speaking about his experiences working with Rahman, Goutham said, 'it is my eighth film and first with Rahman. It was a great experience working with him'.

'VTV is a romantic entertainer with SIlambarasan and Trisha in lead roles. It is a feel-good film sure to enthrall audience'.

On his part, Rahman said, 'there is great responsibility on my shoulders top deliver a hit album as in the past Harri Jayaraj and Goutham combo has come with chartbusters'.

The first copy of the audio was received by Kamal Haasan. On his part, he expressed his wish that the movie would go on to become a big hit.

Silambarasan also spoke. A galaxy of stars were present and clippings from the audio launch of the movie held at London a few days ago was screened on the occasion.
