'Karungali' comes out

The audio of 'Karungali', a film which marks the comeback of director Kalanjiyam, who rendered many a hit such as 'Poomani, Poonthottam' and 'Kizhakkum Merkum', was launched in Chennai recently.

Besides wielding the megaphone, he is playing the lead role himself. Produced by Vivekanandhan, the movie has three heroines - Anjali, Asmitha and Sunitha Verma

Heaping laurels on Srikanth Deva, who has composed music for 'Karungali', Kalanijiyam says, "He has come out with a catchy musical score. It's a mix of melody and peppy beats."

On the film, Kalanjiyam says, "The movie is set in Chennai slums. So we got people from Sathiyavani Muthu Nagar, Thaalangkuppam, Kasimedu and other areas and gave them training to act. I play Gangaj Ravi, an angry upright man".
