Manikka Vinayagam makes a point

“Appreciation from the audience is important for any artiste. The film industry should recognise singers and they should be treated with due respect,” said popular singer Manikka Vinayagam.

He was speaking at the music launch of ‘Avargalum Ivargalum’ in Chennai. “Names of some singers are left out on the covers of the audio CDs. This situation should change,” he said.

Produced by C Kamaraj on Lakshika Films banner, the film directed by Veerapandian has music by Srikanth Deva. Earlier, a ‘thappattam’ performance was staged at the function by a troupe called Buddhar.

Others who took part at the audio launch were producer Sivasakthi Pandian, FEFSI president V C Guhanathan, director S P Jananathan, actors Devayani and Charlie, lyricist Na Muthukumar, directors Ezhil and Gauthaman.
