An evening of infotainment
It was an evening of colour, music, entertainment and thoughtful messages. Kathasagar, a series of plays presented by the children from Kaleidoscope Learning Centre and Bridges Academy of the V-Excel Education Trust in Chennai recently was both educative and entertaining.

The skits including the songs carried the messages on brotherhood, helpfulness and the greatness of nature. Unity need not mean uniformity. There was place for individuality too was brought by a simple song and dance sequence.

Ten children representing ten places in different States of India dressed in the regional costume introduced themselves, their region and language through a brief song. All the songs ended with the lines 'I am like you', bringing out the principle of unity amidst diversity.

A small skit was enacted to show children how they could be of practical help during times of crisis like a robbery if they acted with presence of mind.

'Neeyum Oru Guru', a Tamil play was the grand finale to the event. It traced the events of how Ahan a cowherd learnt about the great virtues and philosophy of life by observing nature and the life of animals.
