Rahmania to rock Chennai
It's going to be a great treat for Rahman fans, when all original track singers of Rahman's compositions would gather on a single stage to pay tribute to his music at a charity event.

Titled Rahmania, the grand event is scheduled at Chennai on 28 February. A galaxy of celebrity singers like Benny Dayal, Srinivas, Suresh Peters, Naresh Iyer, Haricharan, Swetha Menon, Sujatha and Suvi Suresh and a few more will enthrall the music lovers during the 180 minutes show.

The event will feature all the peppy numbers of the Oscar and Grammy winner starting from his debut work 'Roja' to till date. Announcing the event on Tuesday, show director Praveen Mani said that it is Chennai's tribute to Rahman for bringing laurels to the city. The show is about friendship, good music and a good cause, he added.

The event is organised in aid of AR Rahman Foundation, a social organisation for under privileged. The profit of the event would go to the 'V-Excel Educational Trust' an organisation helping children with autism, dyslexia and mental retardation. The show would be held at the Wesley High School grounds in Royapettah.
